Leading with Courage Circle
A small, facilitated circle for values-driven people leaders navigating complexity with clarity, connection, and resilience
This is a complex moment for leaders.

Across nonprofit, government, higher education—and increasingly corporate environments—leaders are navigating uncertainty, supporting teams through ongoing change, and working to stay grounded in purpose and values. The broader context often feels heavy or unclear.

At the same time, shared reflection, collective wisdom, new tools and frameworks, and thoughtful problem-solving can re-spark a sense of purpose and strategies for resilience—both individually and within our organizations.
This circle is designed to offer that kind of space. Together, participants increase clarity, context awareness, and resilience strategy for themselves and their teams.

are responsible for supporting people through change and uncertainty
-
are balancing organizational demands with care for their teams
-
value thoughtful, relational, and values-based leadership
-
are looking for connection—not just more content
-

Participants come from nonprofit, education, government, and corporate settings, but share a common experience: carrying significant responsibility in complex environments, often without a consistent space to reflect or connect with peers.
Who This is For

-
clarity in complex moments
-
connection across roles, sectors, and experiences

This is not a training or a lecture.

It’s a structured, confidential space for real conversation.
Program Structure
The program is built around four live, interactive group sessions that combine practical learning with guided reflection and meaningful discussion. Between sessions, participants have access to an optional online community space where they can connect with peers, share experiences, and exchange strategies as they apply what they're learning.

To support busy schedules and the realities of everyday life, all live sessions are recorded and made available for later viewing. After each session, participants also receive a brief summary along with guided reflection prompts to reinforce key concepts and encourage continued learning between meetings.
Session 1: Naming the Terrain
Leading through uncertainty, rapid change, and moral strain. We’ll explore trauma-aware leadership, supporting team morale, and naming the emotional labor of leadership in this moment.
Session 2: Sharing the Load
Redistributing responsibility for organizational resilience and vitality. Grounding decisions in shared values and building structures that support teams without exhausting leaders.
Session 3: Renewal and Sustainability
Turning toward resilience and renewal. Recognizing burnout, strengthening sustainability practices t through people-centered asset mapping, and reconnecting to meaning in the work.
Closure: Integration & Next Steps
Applying what we’ve learned, considering possibilities for ongoing connections and community building

The Leading with Courage Framework for Your Team
The Leading With Courage Framework can be applied to staff training to strengthen resilience, promote team integration, and meet our moment of complex organizational change with leveled-up structures and collective courage.

Leading with Courage is an empowerment and resilience framework to support values-driven people navigating complexity with clarity. It offers practical strategies for working and leading in morally and politically complex environments shaped by significant change.

LWC names and works to redistribute the emotional labor carried across an organization, particularly in disrupted sectors such as nonprofits and other mission-driven organizations. It empowers people to ground decisions in shared values while building structures that support one another without exhausting leaders and staff. The framework also strengthens sustainability practices through people-centered asset mapping and reconnecting individuals and teams to the meaning in their work.
